It's funny to see some of our people never happy with their own people's achievements. And how interesting it is to see how our people question their own people's winning and willing to argue about it because some of 'our people' don't get the same glory or victory as 'their own people'? And these people are really happy when their own successful people come to their downfalls.
'Jealousy' and 'Insecurity' are the perfect reasons why our people have this kind of mindset.
And how harmful it is to us and our people.
This scenario happens everywhere in our society. Be it in politics, schools or just among family members. It just happens.
This is something we shouldn't ignore. Day by day, it's getting worse. It's like an epidemic to all of us, infecting us deep into our souls. Therefore, it makes us lose our own reasonable judgements and in the end, it eats us alive which reminding me of a song titled, "Killing Me Softly".
I'm not being negative but this is what I see these days and it's infecting me too somehow. How I grew tired of it.
Why can't we just be happy with our people's achievements?
What I see in Malay debate today is disappointing.
They keep on arguing who's the best, who's the worst, who should win and their priority is to get all the fame and glory in magazines or newspapers rather than fullfilling the real objectives of debate.
Debate, i take it as something sacred. We debate in order to improve the way we think and to be expressive without any use of violence. Debate is a form of learning process. When a team lose in a debate, they should reflect themselves on their performance, on their mistakes that they have done and not accuse the winning team or the game for being unfair. We should make friends with other debaters, not hate them for making you lose in the game. And those who are already famous for their powerful debate skills, never forget those who are below you. Treat them as equal because you were once, like them too.
Though, not many people think the same way. Boarding school debaters like to set themselves away from Daily school debaters because they think, Daily school debaters are not of the same standard. A proverb ,"Pipit sama pipit, Enggang sama Enggang" is so strong in their blood. It's like Malfoy said to Hermione how mudbloods should not mix with purebloods. And when Daily school debaters start to show that they're just as good as others and able to beat some established boarding school debaters, people question it on how they shouldn't win and create speculations about it.
How sad is that. I believe, there's no ending to it.

Study in India
As some people know it,
YES, I'm going to further my studies in India and will do Cambridge A-level at Kolej Teknologi Timur (such an ugly college. A building comprised of shophouses. *sigh sigh*).
India has never occured to me, man! I thought the worst I could get is New Zealand or Australia. How am I supposed to watch tv?? (definitely have to learn some urdu/tamil/hindustan). And they don't eat beef. So I guess there's no McD and BurgerKing ;(
However, after giving it a good thought, well, what's the worst could happen?
India has a lot to offer. It just that you must know how to explore it. Westerners are very fond of India, so why can't we be the same?
I'm sure me and Joanna can go to New Delhi by tuk tuk during weekends and I read that Connought Place is a good place to shop. They even sell branded goods and I believe, by the large amount of allowance we will get, we can live like kings there. I'm sure shops over there are pretty much like ones in other developed countries and could be cheaper in price.
During holidays, I can go visit Taj Mahal, Bombay, Goa (beautiful beach there and the place is urban), Bangalore and who knows by the generosity of JPA, we will be able to save a lot of dollars and have a vacation in Nepal (shall we Joanna?).
Though, one has to be careful and it is advisable to get your own private transportation because the people there like to shove and push you around which at one point, can be fatal.
And actually, India do have 4 seasons, it's only the matter of location.Of course, poverty is everywhere in India but I guess, that should be a good lesson for me and others to appreciate our country more. *poyo je*
Though, the vital part is, to get along with the locals there. Then, you will find the beauty of India. Usually educated Indians speak english very well. And by making friends with them, I'm sure we will not have a problem to communicate and mix with them. They can help us to find good places to eat, shop and such. Even in terms of food, we won't have a problem at all since most of them are vegetarians, so it's halal and there are muslim communities over there.
Besides that, we're not the only foreigners there. I'm sure there are many other foreign students study in India. So, make a good circle of friends over there and I'm sure you will be happy :)

It's hard to be evil
OK, I really need to start my pre-varsity year. Stay at home all day long, day by day, is driving me insane.
And trust me, Syazana, my partner in crime, is more insane than me. She's starting to have this mild (soon to be critical) obsession with fish. Almost every month I think, she cleans up the fish tank. Maybe I should give her another guppy fish for her bday pressie. hihi.
Besides that, me and Syazana spend a lot of time together in this cyber world (since we're not allowed to go out clubbing and be home at 1 in the morning. Well, not just that, it's even hard for us to get permission to go Giant *sigh*).
So, due to lack of social life and other healthy activities, we came up with an idea to do something evil. First, we set up a bet agreement on how long relationship between X and Y will last. Don't worry you guys, it's someone you hardly know. And turned out not as excited as we thought. No sign of breaking up. Yea, they are still an item. No drama. We are love dementors, aren't we?
Then, i found out X shares a blog with Y. Tried to read but they put it into private. Due to ultimate curiousity, me and Syaz set a plan to hack the blog. At least, that would be an awesome activity to make us...well, tied up? Yea, we are indeed, have no life at this moment. So, Syaz emailed me how to hack a blog and we both together tried it out (4 times) but to no avail. X and Y are so smart. Or is it just us, not capable of being criminals? I need to watch more Prison Break.
However, Syaz laid out 3 mega plans on how to get accessed to the blog;
a) Ask for X's permission. (Though, Syaz has to face the consequence of X thinking Syaz likes him)
b) Hack the blog. (Which is hampeh).
c) Hack his yahoo mail. (Very Very risky).
So, any idea anyone?

JPJ test
I PASSED JPJ TEST!
Now I'm waiting for my licence and then I can hit the road bebeh!
Though, it was really a pain in the ass when I had to wait for more than 3 hours to sit for the road test (I spent total 8 hours for the whole test, I even made friends there).Furthermore, we were gathered under this one big zinc roof with plastic chairs to sit and watched people getting failed or passed the test (When a candidate failed, the JPJ officer will be the one driving back the car).
However, I was quite lucky as my examiner was indeed, a good officer. He was quite talkative and that actually almost got me hit the curb. Along the way, he talked about politics, my age, my future career and he found it funny when I said I wanted to become a dentist. "Adik suke gigi nye?". And by taking a glance at his teeth, well, I tell you, he needs a major teeth surgery or specifically da Vinci Veneers. Of course, he scolded me once or twice for being careless and not fast enough on the road. There were also dramatic moments where he expressed his feelings on how he hated his job and besides being a driver there, I had to become a counsellor as well. I said, "Takpe encik, sabarnye. Encik nampak segak ape pakai uniform ni".
A tip for you; it's really important to suck up your JPJ examiner. ;)
The whole 8 hours in Cheras finally paid off but I had headache, muscle ache and stomach ache (I didn’t lunch) as soon as I reached home.
The road test result: 19/20. Tee hee.

Nowadays, it seems that everyone knows each other without knowing that everyone they know, know each other too. Funny isn't it?
For example, Bob knows Billy and Billy knows Bobby and Bobby is Bob's friend but Bob has no idea that Bobby knows Billy too, neither do Billy and Bobby know that Bob knows Bobby and Billy respectively.
Dizzy?
OK, let me give you another example based on my experience.
Last month, I met a new friend introduced by my friend basically because her friend gave me a ride home.
However, a week later, I checked on my other friend's friendster profile who lives hundreds of miles away in Kelantan. To my surprise, I saw a picture where my new friend was standing next to him. They know each other but they didn't have any idea that each of them know me too. At that time, it hit me that world is indeed, small.
In another example, like just now, I checked out my other friend's myspace profile. Currently she works at Raoul. To my another surprise, I saw a picture of her and her colleagues and one of her colleagues is someone that I know too. I met her colleague last year in IIUM debate championship as my team fought against his team that time. But, the same thing happened, that they have no idea yet that they both are related to me. And I believe that her colleague knows my Kelantan friend as well as three of us are from the same group of people which is debate and my Kelantan friend is also a friend to her colleague's teammate. Therefore, this example is connected to the other example above and thus, creating a chain.
Probably, if I do more research which including another spying and skodeng on other people's friendster and myspace profiles, who knows, there are more chains to it and as a result, we might be connected to one another without knowing it. It's either that the 6 degrees of separation theory is true or debate that brings us together. As Syazana once said, "It's as though, you debaters are connected by blood and marriage".

Life is indeed, complicated.
Haihh~~, I'm having a rough week lately and let alone to say that I am so stressed up. Problems keep popping up endlessly anywhere and sometimes, I wish I could just be somewhere else. It's hard when you live with people who expect you to understand their feelings without them doing the same.
They want me to listen to their problems, feelings and whatever they are unsatisfied with, yes, I give them what they want. Ears to listen, voice to advise and eyes to concern. But they are just concerned with their feelings, so self-absorbed in their own problems and somehow so self-centered without them realising it. And in the end, who's going to listen to mine? I don't have the right to say things that have been bottled up for so long because to them, it's a sign of disrespect. And once, they think I disrespect them, I'm the one to blame at. I just cannot bear that. They are asking too much of me.

First of all, don't get me wrong, I'm not being sentimental or jiwang. It's just something that I've been watching for quite sometime on other people around me. These couples that I met are madly and deeply in love with one another, be it an old couple, teenagers or surprisingly, kids.
To see a pair of old couple, walking side by side, holding hands, caring for one another is something rare, especially in Malaysia. Generally, we, Malaysians seldom express our love and we keep it within ourselves. As people are getting older, they prefer to set themselves away from their life partners. They don't walk together (Usually, the man will leave the wife walks behind him) like they used to when they were young, they don't hold hands especially in front of their grandchildren, they quarrel almost everyday over simple, little things and sadly, they don't share the same bed anymore.
What are they afraid about? Is it because they are bored with one another after sharing life for over a decade? Or are they just afraid to show their love in case one will go first to meet the One?
What about our youth? It's undeniable, our youth today know more about love more like the youth decades ago. At the early age of 12 years old, it's enough for a girl to get a beau. Amazing, isn't it? Even love can undergo globalisation. Sometimes, you can already fall in love with one another over having Kentucky Fried Chicken, or some people call it, KFC moments. But the unfortunate part is, some teenagers take it too far. Sometimes, they mistake love for lust. They are willing to give everything, be it dignity, pride or whatever that set them different from married couples.
Is that what we call love?
To see teenagers madly in lust or they claim it love, hugging and snogging one another in public without any slightest embarrassment is pathetic and disgusting. And when things get out of control, another problem will rise up and contribute to our social illness. Lately, we can see and read; babies were dumped into the bin or into the drain and were left on their own till their last breath. Isn't that cruel? Where is the love that they believe all this while? Even some children are physically, mentally and sexually abused and in the end, Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-kanak is where they seek for protection and shelter.
I believe that, the major problem with our people nowadays is that they don't practise moderation in life. Some are too lack of something and some are too much of something. The old seem not to appreciate love, as though love has diminished in their souls and the young, take love over their minds and in the end, they lose their sensibility and rationality. Why not, take a little time to think, what love is all about and how that simple four letter word unites us together.
